A Story Guide: Going to the Dentist (a gift for you!)
One of the great things about knowing hundreds of people through the special needs community is that the talent is deep. I’m sure you all know Sunday Stilwell of Extreme Parenthood because who doesn’t know her, right? She’s smart, funny, and a kick-butt mama to her two sons. She also contributes here to the Daily Dose of funnies and realities.
In helping her son prepare for procedures and experiences she creates Story Guides and she had one for a recent denist visit at the hospital. I asked if we could share it with the community at large and she was all, “Of course!” and so here we are, sharing. In this post is a PDF for A Trip to the Hopsital – Dentist, for download.
Enjoy! A trip to the hospital- dentist
Sharing is caring, people.
(Go ahead and thank Sunday here or on Twitter! @xtremeparnthood)

Julia Roberts is founder of Support for Special Needs and has been a regular contributor since its inception in May 2010. A mom to two kids with special needs, she didn't want other parents to feel what is the often isolating world of raising a child (or two!) with disabilities. Her kids had kidney transplants at the age of eight and will need liver transplants in the future as a result of ARPKD/CHF. They both have vision disorders and learning disabilities.
