A Little Taste of What’s to Come Giveaway
Occasionally we post announcements in our groups asking for community members who would like review products for us as part of a site giveway! We love to give free stuff away to families who have kids with special needs because we are (usually) hit so hard financially. In my family, we spend hundreds monthly on co-pays for meds, doctor visits and tutoring so when Dawn and I were talking about what we wanted the site to look like and be and do, giving away stuff that was helpful, fun and cool was at the top of our list. .
That’s why we came up with the Great Big Wish List Giveway where we’ll be giving away over 60 toys and gifts! We have some terrific partners including companies like Hasbro PLAYSKOOL who also sponsored this giveaway preview. (We got two — one to give to a community member to review on the site and one to give away perhaps to YOU!)
This Wednesday, November 3rd we’ll announce exactly how the Great Big Wish List Giveway works and we’ll provide you with a calendar so you can keep up with it all. (Trust me the calendar is for us, too!) We’ll be doing fun things like a scavenger hunt, asking you to post recipes, leave comments or we might ask you to visit a group. You do have to be a member to win most (but not all!) of the prizes so get a head start and get signed up now!
And now a review from community member, Kelly Blackburn on the PLAYSKOOL WHEEL PALS ANIMAL TRACKS POLAR PARTY PLAY SET (say THAT 3 times fast!).
“When the Wheel Pals Polar Party arrived at our front door my 2 year old and 4 year old daughters lost their little minds Anyone who witnessed this scene would have sworn these poor kids had never seen a toy in their lives! Until of course they noticed that our entire house is littered with toys. Mommy is 6 months pregnant and any toy I don’t trip over stays where it lands, these days.
Wheel Pals is very cute. The Polar Party is themed with blue ice and white snow and comes with a penguin car and a polar bear car that ride down an icy ramp on, of course, wheels. Set up was very simple, and my 4 year old and no problems swinging the closing gate, rotating the ramp, and pushing the purple whales tail to lift the the ramp and other characters on his “water wave”.
This toy is intended for ages 18 months and up. Both of my girls (and older playmates who came to visit) did become bored with it fairly quickly. I’m not sure that I can blame the toy, as I stated-Mommy’s house is a bit chaotic right now. However, there are 2 more sets that are sold separately and can be connected to this one. The Rolling Acres Farm (red and yellow with a cow car and chicken car) and Jungle Journey (green and blue with a lion car and a lizard car). The three sets together are sure to be a fun little zoo for little ones.”
To win this PLAYSKOOL ANIMAL PLAY SET just leave a comment and let us know you want it for a special kid! We don’t even care if it’s for YOUR kid. We just want to help out with your shopping list this year!
Note: To support the site we make money on some products, product categories and services that we talk about on this website through affiliate relationships with the merchants in question. We get a small commission on sales of those products. That in no way affects our opinions of those products and services.
