New Horizons dedicates mental health crisis center for children and teens
Doors will open Wednesday at a new 20-bed facility of New Horizons that is designed to give in-patient emergency care to children and teens who are experiencing mental health or substance abuse crises.
A Friday morning ceremony at the 4500 Midway Road campus dedicated The Frances Langford Center for Children at New Horizons. It is named for the late stage, screen and television entertainer from Jensen Beach. Her foundation has awarded New Horizons an outright gift of $100,000 toward the center. Plus, it has pledged to match, dollar for dollar, up to $900,000 in other contributions over three years, for a potential total of $1.9 million toward the center’s $3.2 million goal.
