'Reel Movies for Real Needs' designed for special-needs families
Mary Roberts of Coralville and her two teens are excited about going to the movies Saturday for a new series that is designed for families like theirs.
Roberts said in an e-mail that her two teenagers are autistic, and even though they love going to the theater, they usually can’t go or have to leave shortly after the movie starts because their excited vocalizations disturb other patrons.
Beginning in April, Marcus Theatres started a new film series, “Reel Movies for Real Needs,” designed for families of special-needs children.

I have been told that Marcus theaters does the same thing here in Columbus – runs the movies at lower volume, leaves the lights on, and etc. Very, very cool!
