Life’s Joyful Expressions: Learning Disabilities ~ Photographing Kids with Special Needs: Tips and Techniques
Learning disabilities are not just limited to school as people sometimes mistakenly think. LD's really are part of a families every day life. What is most important to focus on here is the child's ability and interests to make this as successful as possible. Not all children with LD's are going to have a challenging time during a portrait session..and there are so many different types of LD's that they all can't be considered here…but there are things to consider nonetheless.”
Interesting post about photography and the child with special needs. Just wanted to share.

Lots of really good information in that post! Thank you!
Family portraits have been a nightmare for us!! In March we worked with a photographer who works with ASD families, he is sook nice unspoken4.com and Deanna Levine has taken some wonderful school shots of our kids, she also has her own studio. Just wanted to give a shout out from personal experience as we tried the mall photo places and it just didn’t work for our family. Thanks for the link! We learned another lesson – make sure they ENJOY the place you are photographing. We went to the garden at their school for our shoot and they cried the whole time because they thought we brought them to scho on a Sat. AND they were locked out! You can see it in the pictures.
