I live in Canada. I'm a qualified elementary school teacher whose career is currently on hold while I raise my three children. They are close in age and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be at home with them during their early years. But, I'm also using my time at home to develop my personal interests which include writing and blogging. My eldest son has a developmental disability and is non-verbal. He uses sign language and an AAC device to communicate. To date, my writing has largely revolved around raising a child with differences.
