| About Me | I am a displaced Southerner living in the Kansas City, KS area. I have a graduate degree in Human Development from the University of AR and have worked in a variety of jobs. I work tireless in the disability community specifically for those with Down syndrome through a variety of avenues. I am married to the love of my life, Jonathan, for almost 23 years. We have a beautiful daughter, Rachel, who is almost 13. She is funny, capable, caring and happens to have Down syndrome. |

I completely understand…because, let’s face it, the kids health surrounds everything we do. As far as lessons, well, a lot of it we just make up as we go along.

I kind of feel weird saying that I loved this post since so much of it was about your kids fragile health … but I did. A lot of people could take lessons from you guys.
