I'm 43, mom of 2. Before I had kids my biggest fears were having a child with autism or a child with genetic disorders. I now have both – one of each. And to boot, I am now also diagnosed on spectrum, and my hubby has the same genetic disorder as our son (and possibly our daughter). Rock On.
Struggling with figuring out how to establish the new normal – we're in the middle of medical assessments at the moment so until we get more information and know what we're dealing with I imagine our "new normal" is pretty much just surviving each day the best we can.
I aim for laughter each day, and try to maintain a safe and warm home base for the kids.
