IEP Discussion: 1 year, 8 months agoMy daughter had an IEP in Kindergarten, but then moved to a Montessori school where they were able to adjust her work without an IEP. Now she is moving to a charter school and I am wondering if we should go in with an IEP, or wait and see how she does. The biggest problem area is math, but she also needs additional time to complete her work in all areas.

I agree with Laura, Ben. I would get the IEP. I was told here that if an IEP wasn’t obtained in elementary school, it was next to impossible to get them in the upper level grades. Well, dang, Ben, I’m sorry. There’s a mom on here whose 18-year old daughter has been dancing FOREVER and she’s really good at demonstrating steps for other people.
