We have a name for our disease!!! After 6 years we found out Andy has a Chromosome 17 deletion. We don’t have the details on which specific one, but of course they are all rare. At the end of the month we should have more info to get on the right plan of care.

Multiple Special Needs: 1 year, 4 months agoMy son, A will be 6 in April. He has pervasive developmental disorder (autism spectrum) and cystic kidney disease. Think we have a good IEP and on right track at school. Mom and Dad need to get on track at home. Kidney disease is mystery and wait and watch.

Medical Special Needs: 1 year, 7 months agoWe’ve had two diagnosis in a row that have been good! Andy’s brain mri came back normal (they were checking for deformity related to certain kinds of kidney disease) and the cardiologist advised good heart (we had a false positive ekg for heart impulse issues when checking before starting adhd meds).
