I grew up with ADD, undiagnosed and untreated, and have 3 special needs kids, 14, 11, and 3 with a variety of issues including ADD, aspergers, tourette’s, motor speech problems, stuttering, and various other diagnosis. We had our children after a long struggle with infertility, pregnancy loss, and high risk pregnancy, and surprisingly, my husband and I handle it all, and our kids are doing well. I want others to have hope for the future and advocate politically in Canada and in Ontario so that all of our kids can succeed. Yes, I am an adoptee, and it didn’t go well, so I also advocate for adoption/foster care reform.
