Organizing … Specialized!

Organizing…Specialized is group where we help each other with the home organizing challenges we face raising children with special needs. While our moderator is a Professional Organizer, she is not able to personally address each question raised, especially as the group grows. We can all share our tips, offer suggestions and help one another. Leslie will address as many questions as she can, but please remember she is our volunteer moderator.

    Chaos is “a disorderly mass or jumble” and this month can be a breeding ground for it! Here are 3 simple things you can do today to reduce the chaos of the holidays for the month ahead. 1. ) Designate a holding area large enough for the inevitable influx of gifts going out and gifts coming in. Be creative – it’s only temporary! Just throw a sheet over a folding table in the bedroom and slide the gifts under as they start to appear! 2.) Before the calendar fills up, pencil in “Stay Home” stretches of time at predictable intervals for your child most affected by the changes. Reducing stress for your child can help reduce chaos for you! 3.) Have a glass of water. That’s the one I always forget ;) Doing it now…Join me?
