Mom to 2 great girls. Emma is “typically developing”, as typical as a 6 y/o girl can be and Alison is 10 y/o and is diagnosed with mood disorder, CP, apraxia, and moderate ID. I am a part time occupational therapist whose bedside manner improved 110% after having a child with special needs. I am always looking to improve Alison’s environment and skills while working hard to maintain the calm.

Mom to 4. One neurotypical 12 yr old biochild, one 15 yr old “typical” teen bio child (so she may be developing bipolar… or not), one 16yr old with bipolar, RAD, ADHD, C-PTSD, cerebral dysrhythmia (brain injury), possible auditory processing disorder, learning disabilities, borderline IQ in some areas, borderline personality disorder traits… just admitted her to residential psychiatric treatment on Wednesday. One 18yo adopted son, diagnosed with bipolar, RAD, ADD, PTSD, cerebral dysrhythmia, learning issues, still a senior in high school.

Plus, I have bipolar disorder (mild), PTSD(mild), and was just diagnosed with an attachment disorder… which explains a lot. I’m unemployed, but now that my dd is in treatment, i hope I will finally have time to start looking for a job..

Hi – I’m Chrisa. I have three kids – my oldest son is 21, neurotypical, raging smart alec, halfway through a 1 year internship overseas.

Tim is 17, adopted at birth (private adoption), dx’ed with Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Type. Technically he’s a high school senior, but he will be a super senior to age 21. After 12 inpatient hospitalizations between 11-14, he has been in residential treatment 90 miles from our home since 2009.

Our youngest is our daughter, 16, adopted at age 4 from foster care, dx’ed with RAD and Spastic Deplygia, in treatment for Depression, although we / therapist feel it is probably RAD symptoms more than classic depression. So hard to treat RAD!

I work full time in ecommerce, and my hubby is a SAHD. We live outside Chicago.

Mom of three young adults, one with Schizoaffective Disorder, one with RAD. eCommerce professional and raging smart mouth.
