IEP and School Discussion 8 months agoI need some advice. Zelda’s in take meeting is coming up and I am not sure what to do. The school wants to put her into the preschool disabled classroom. I think she is too high for that classroom and I would much rather have her in the inclusion classroom. This room is half special ed and half reg ed kids. So if she doesn’t go in this program, what does happen? Does she go to a regular ed program or does she just stay home until Kindergarten starts? If my choices were stay home or go to this program then I’d be tempted to let her try it and see how she does in this smaller group size and then re-evaluate for next year.
She can go into the inclusion class or the preschool disabled. I am trying to see if the school will let me observe both classes before we have our IEP meeting. So far no call back.
