Hi So happy to be part of this group. I am a parent of a special needs child, a special education advocate and a new blogger. Was looking for parents to share their stories and get published on my new blog. Please see us at cup-of-comfort.com your all very talented writers and I would be honored for you to be willing to post. The first one is mine having a premature child and where things were when I first started my journey.

I guess this is a good place to post this. I took four court reporting midterms yesterday morning. On ALL of them, my notes are so sloppy that I can barely decipher them. I have turned in exactly ONE midterm during this testing cycle. I'm so frustrated that I am about to cry. I hear conflicting arguments on speed building (slow down to get accurate, speed up to get speed). My machine will have to be serviced right after midterms. On top of all of that, I've spent most of this summer getting my husband to the bus stop and my son to day camp. (He's at sleep away camp this week. Today I got up at 5 am to take my husband to the bus stop so that I can have the car to go pick up Matthew.)

My financial aid is OUT. Pretty soon our savings will be exhausted and when that happens, I will have to leave school.

In two weeks I have a doctor's appointment because I've had, over the years, periodic spells of fatigue and other health issues (chronic, not fatal). When I just do not feel well, it cuts into my practice time.

Someone told me that if I couldn't get beyond 120 WPM in six years (I'm stuck at the same point that I was at my last school) that maybe court reporting wasn't for me. There are days I wonder if that person is right.

A close friend told me that she thought I did rely on myself very much . . . I know we are supposed to "rely on God" and "turn things over to Him", but I have absolutely NO idea of what that looks like or what you are supposed to be doing when you do it!!
