I hope you don’t mind me posting this in a few spots on this site. I’m working with a non-profit group that is trying to figure out the best way to help families of children with special needs. Specifically, we’re looking at how to help the caregivers. All of us here know that caring for a special needs child (or two or three …) can push us to the brink. So I’ve got a link to the survey. It’s not a great survey, and it may even be confusing in spots. But it should only take you about 5 minutes. All of the information is kept completely confidential. We are just trying to figure out what resources families have and what are ways to expand respite care to families. I think all of us would love to have a break, even if just for an hour or two, where we know our child is in skilled, capable care.

If you have more than one child with a disability, please take the survey once thinking about one child, then again thinking about the other one. (Most of the answers will be the same.) We really need to get 56 more respondents. I’m hoping you all can help with this. Again, it’s a non-profit group. We aren’t selling anything. There’s even a question about if you’d like to be contacted, but because you never give out your contact info, you won’t be contacted.
