As you know, Support for Special Needs is hosting a screening of the award-winning documentary Monica & David in Atlanta tonight at AMC Phipps Plaza with cinematographer Abel Klainbaum attendance. (You can still reserve your tickets by clicking here!) It is also premiering on HBO on this Wednesday, October 14th. But if you can’t get to our screening and you don’t have HBO, you can check out the screenings page at the Monica & David web site and watch some clips on their video page. Julia Roberts is founder of Support for Special Needs and has been a regular contributor since its inception in May 2010. A mom to two kids with special needs, she didn't want other parents to feel what is the often isolating world of raising a child (or two!) with disabilities. Her kids had kidney transplants at the age of eight and will need liver transplants in the future as a result of ARPKD/CHF. They both have vision disorders and learning disabilities.
