Bay Village mother is on mission to find cure for Dravet Syndrome

While some give up, others fight back.
Paula Lyles of Bay Village is one who won’t take things lying down. She is on a mission to help find a cure for Dravet Syndrome, a rare neurological condition that has affected her 15-year-old Jordan, since she was 6 months old.
In July, she sponsored her second fundraiser in three years to benefit the International Dravet Epilepsy Action League, a nonprofit organization that describes itself as a “powerful global partnership of parents and medical experts united in the goal of improving treatments for children with Dravet syndrome and related conditions, while empowering families to cope with the daily challenges of this disorder.”
